ثُمّ مَ بَدَّلْنَا
بَدّ دَلْ نَا مَكَانَ
مَ كَا نَسّ السَّیِّئَةِ
سَىّ ىِ ءَ تِلْ الْحَسَنَةَ
حَ سَ نَ ةَ حَتّٰی
حَتّ تَا عَفَوْا
عَ فَوّ وَّ قَالُوْا
وَ قَا لُوْ قَدْ
قَدْ مَسَّ
مَسّ سَ اٰبَآءَنَا
آ بَآ ءَ نَضّ الضَّرَّآءُ
ضَرّ رَآ ءُ وَ السَّرَّآءُ
وَسّ سَرّ رَآ ءُ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ
فَ اَخَذْ نَا هُمْ بَغْتَةً
بَعْ تَ تَنْ وّ وَّ هُمْ
وَ هُمْ لَا
لَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ
يَشْ عُ رُوْٓ نْ
Then We changed their adversity to prosperity until they flourished and argued ˹falsely˺, “Our forefathers ˹too˺ had been visited by adversity and prosperity.”1 So We seized them by surprise, while they were unaware.

Then We exchanged in place of the bad [condition], good, until they increased [and prospered] and said, "Our fathers [also] were touched with hardship and ease."1 So We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive.2
