He merges the two bodies of ˹fresh and salt˺ water,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
He released the two seas,1 meeting [one another];
— Saheeh International
yet between them is a barrier they never cross.1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Between them is a barrier so neither of them transgresses.
— Saheeh International
Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
— Saheeh International
Out of both ˹waters˺ come forth pearls and coral.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
From both of them emerge pearl and coral.
— Saheeh International
Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
— Saheeh International
To Him belong the ships with raised sails, sailing through the seas like mountains.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.
— Saheeh International
Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
— Saheeh International
Every being on earth is bound to perish.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Everyone upon it [i.e., the earth] will perish,
— Saheeh International
Only your Lord Himself,1 full of Majesty and Honour, will remain ˹forever˺.2
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And there will remain the Face1 of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
— Saheeh International
Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
— Saheeh International
All those in the heavens and the earth are dependent on Him. Day in and day out He has something to bring about.1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is in [i.e., bringing about] a matter.1
