اِذْ رَاٰ
رَآ نَارًا
نَا رَنْ فَقَالَ
فَ قَا لَ لِاَهْلِهِ
لِ اَهْ لِ هِمْ امْكُثُوْۤا
كُ ثُوْٓ اِنِّیْۤ
اِنّ نِىْٓ اٰنَسْتُ
آ نَسْ تُ نَارًا
نَا رَلّ لَّعَلِّیْۤ
لَ عَلّ لِىْٓ اٰتِیْكُمْ
آ تِىْ كُمّ مِّنْهَا
مِنْ هَا بِقَبَسٍ
بِ قَ بَ سِنْ اَوْ
اَوْ اَجِدُ
اَجِ دُ عَلَی
عَ لَنّ النَّارِ
نَا رِ هُدًی
هُ دَا
فَ لَمّ مَآ اَتٰىهَا
اَ تَا هَا نُوْدِیَ
نُوْ دِ ىَ یٰمُوْسٰی
يَا مُوْ سَا
اِنّ نِىْٓ اَنَا
اَ نَ رَبُّكَ
رَبّ بُ كَ فَاخْلَعْ
فَخْ لَعْ نَعْلَیْكَ ۚ
نَعْ لَىْ كْ اِنَّكَ
اِنّ نَ كَ بِالْوَادِ
بِلْ وَادِلْ الْمُقَدَّسِ
قَدّ دَسِ طُوًی
طُ وَا
وَاَنَخْ اخْتَرْتُكَ
تَرْ تُ كَ فَاسْتَمِعْ
فَسْ تَ مِعْ لِمَا
لِ مَا یُوْحٰی
يُوْ حَا
اِنّ نَ نِىْٓ اَنَا
اَ نَلّ اللّٰهُ
لَا هُ لَاۤ
لَٓا اِلٰهَ
اِلَا هَ اِلَّاۤ
اِلّ لَٓا اَنَا
اَنَ فَاعْبُدْنِیْ ۙ
فَعْ بُدْ نِىْ وَ اَقِمِ
وَاَقِ مِصّ الصَّلٰوةَ
صَ لَا ةَ لِذِكْرِیْ
لِ ذِكْ رِىْ
اِنّ نَسّ السَّاعَةَ
سَا عَ ةَ اٰتِیَةٌ
آ تِ ىَ تُنْ اَكَادُ
اَ كَا دُ اُخْفِیْهَا
اُخْ فِىْ هَا لِتُجْزٰی
لِ تُجْ زَا كُلُّ
كُلّ لُ نَفْسٍۭ
نَفْ سِمْ بِمَا
بِ مَا تَسْعٰی
تَسْ عَا
فَ لَا یَصُدَّنَّكَ
ىَ صُدّنّ نَ كَ عَنْهَا
عَنْ هَا مَنْ
مَلّ لَّا
لَا یُؤْمِنُ
ىُ ءْ مِ نُ بِهَا
بِ هَا وَ اتَّبَعَ
وَتّ تَ بَ عَ هَوٰىهُ
هَ وَا هُ فَتَرْدٰی
فَ تَرْ دَا
وَ مَا تِلْكَ
تِلْ كَ بِیَمِیْنِكَ
بِ ىَ مِىْ نِ كَ یٰمُوْسٰی
يَا مُوْ سَا
قَا لَ هِیَ
هِ ىَ عَصَایَ ۚ
عَ صَآ ىْ اَتَوَكَّؤُا
اَ تَ وَكّ كَ ءُ عَلَیْهَا
عَ لَىْ هَا وَ اَهُشُّ
وَاَهُشّ شُ بِهَا
بِ هَا عَلٰی
عَ لَا غَنَمِیْ
غَ نَ مِىْ وَ لِیَ
وَ لِ ىَ فِیْهَا
فِىْ هَا مَاٰرِبُ
مَ آ رِ بُ اُخْرٰی
اُخْ رَا
قَا لَ اَلْقِهَا
اَلْ قِ هَا یٰمُوْسٰی
يَا مُوْ سَا
فَ اَلْ قَا هَا فَاِذَا
فَ اِذَا هِیَ
هِ ىَ حَیَّةٌ
حَىّ ىَ تُنْ تَسْعٰی
تَسْ عَا
When he saw a fire, he said to his family, “Wait here, ˹for˺ I have spotted a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a torch from it, or find some guidance at the fire.”1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance."
— Saheeh International
But when he approached it, he was called, “O Moses!
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses,
— Saheeh International
It is truly I. I am your Lord! So take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Ṭuwa.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the blessed valley of Ṭuwā.
— Saheeh International
I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed:
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].
— Saheeh International
‘It is truly I. I am Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Me. So worship Me ˹alone˺, and establish prayer for My remembrance.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.
— Saheeh International
The Hour is sure to come. My Will is to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded according to their efforts.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it1 - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives.
— Saheeh International
So do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires distract you from it, or you will be doomed.’”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So do not let one avert you from it1 who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.
— Saheeh International
˹Allah added,˺ “And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"
— Saheeh International
He replied, “It is my staff! I lean on it, and with it I beat down ˹branches˺ for my sheep, and have other uses for it.”1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."
— Saheeh International
Allah said, “Throw it down, O Moses!”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."
— Saheeh International
So he did, then—behold!—it became a serpent, slithering.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.
— Saheeh International
