وَ اِنْ فَاتَكُمْ
فَا تَ كُمْ شَیْءٌ
شَىْ ءُمّ مِّنْ
مِنْ اَزْوَاجِكُمْ
اَزْ وَا جِ كُمْ اِلَی
اِلَلْ الْكُفَّارِ
كُفّ فَا رِ فَعَاقَبْتُمْ
فَ عَا قَبْ تُمْ فَاٰتُوا
فَ آ تُلّ الَّذِیْنَ
لَ ذِىْ نَ ذَهَبَتْ
ذَهَ بَتۡ اَزْوَاجُهُمْ
اَزْ وَا جُ هُمّ مِّثْلَ
مِثْ لَ مَاۤ
مَاۤ اَنْفَقُوْا ؕ
اَنْ فَ قُوْ وَ اتَّقُوا
وَتّ تَ قُلّ اللّٰهَ
لَا هَلّ الَّذِیْۤ
لَ ذِىْٓ اَنْتُمْ
اَنۡ تُمۡ بِهٖ
بِ هِىْ مُؤْمِنُوْنَ
مُ ءْ مِ نُوْٓ نْ
And if any of your wives desert you to the disbelievers, and later you take spoils from them, then pay those whose wives have gone, the equivalent of whatever ˹dowry˺ they had paid. And be mindful of Allah, in Whom you believe.

And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something],1 then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
