And We will ˹continually˺ provide them with whatever fruit or meat they desire.

And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.

— Saheeh International

They will pass around to each other a drink ˹of pure wine,˺ which leads to no idle talk or sinfulness.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin.

— Saheeh International

ﮩ ﮪ

And they will be waited on by their youthful servants like spotless pearls.        

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected.

— Saheeh International

They will turn to one another inquisitively.1

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.

— Saheeh International

They will say, “Before ˹this reward˺ we used to be in awe ˹of Allah˺ in the midst of our people.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah].

— Saheeh International

So Allah has graced us and protected us from the torment of ˹Hell’s˺ scorching heat.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire.

— Saheeh International

ﯬﯭ

Indeed, we used to call upon Him ˹alone˺ before. He is truly the Most Kind, Most Merciful.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Indeed, we used to supplicate1 Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."

— Saheeh International

So ˹continue to˺ remind ˹all, O  Prophet˺. For you, by the grace of your Lord, are not a fortune-teller or a madman.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

So remind, [O Muḥammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman.

— Saheeh International

ﯿ

Or do they say, “˹He is˺ a poet, for whom we ˹eagerly˺ await an ill-fate!”?

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time"?1

— Saheeh International

Say, “Keep waiting! I too am waiting with you.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."

— Saheeh International

Or do their ˹intelligent˺ minds prompt them to this ˹paradox˺?1 Or are they ˹just˺ a transgressing people?

Or do their minds1 command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?

— Saheeh International
