قَالَ فَمَا
فَ مَا خَطْبُكُمْ
خَطْ بُ كُمْ اَیُّهَا
اَ ىّ ىُ هَلْ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ
مُرْ سَ لُٓوْ نْ
قَالُٓوْ اِنَّاۤ
اِ نّ نَآ اُرْسِلْنَاۤ
اُرْسِلْ نَآ اِلٰی
اِلَا قَوْمٍ
قَوْمِمّ مُّجْرِمِیْنَ
مُجْ رِمِىْٓ نْ
لِ نُرْسِ لَ عَلَیْهِمْ
عَ لَىْ هِمْ حِجَارَةً
حِ جَا رَ تَمّ مِّنْ
مِنْ طِیْنٍ
طِىْٓ نْ
مُ سَوّوَمَ تَنْ عِنْدَ
عِنْ دَ رَبِّكَ
رَ بّ بِ كَ لِلْمُسْرِفِیْنَ
لِلْ مُسْ رِ فِىْٓ نْ
فَ اَ خْ رَ جْ نَا مَنْ
مَنۡ كَانَ
كَانَ فِیْهَا
فِىْ هَا مِنَ
مِ نَلْ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ
مُ ءْ مِ نِىْٓ نْ
فَ مَا وَجَدْنَا
وَ جَدْنَا فِیْهَا
فِىْ هَا غَیْرَ
غَىْ رَ بَیْتٍ
بَىْ تِمّ مِّنَ
مِ نَلْ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ
مُسْ لِ مِىْٓ نْ
وَ تَ رَ كْ نَا فِیْهَاۤ
فِىْ هَآ اٰیَةً
آ ىَ تَلّ لِّلَّذِیْنَ
لِلّ لَ ذِ ىْ نَ یَخَافُوْنَ
ىَ خَافُوْنَلْ الْعَذَابَ
عَ ذَابَلْ الْاَلِیْمَ
اَ لِىْٓ مْ
وَفِىۡ مُوْسٰۤی
مُوْسَآ اِذْ
اِذۡ اَرْسَلْنٰهُ
اَرْسَلْ نَاهُ اِلٰی
اِلَا فِرْعَوْنَ
فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطٰنٍ
بِ سُلْ طَانِمّ مُّبِیْنٍ
مُ بِىْٓ نْ
فَ تَ وَلّ لَا بِرُكْنِهٖ
بِ رُ كْ نِ هِىْ وَ قَالَ
وَقَالَ سٰحِرٌ
سَاحِ رُ نْ اَوْ
اَوۡ مَجْنُوْنٌ
مَجۡ نُٓوۡنْ
فَ اَ خَذْ نَاهُ وَ جُنُوْدَهٗ
وَ جُ نُوْ دَ هُوْ فَنَبَذْنٰهُمْ
فَ نَ بَذْ نَا هُمْ فِی
فِلْ الْیَمِّ
يَمّ مِ وَ هُوَ
وَهُ وَ مُلِیْمٌ
مُ لِىْٓ مْ
وَفِىۡ عَادٍ
عَادِنْ اِذْ
اِذۡ اَرْسَلْنَا
اَرۡسَلۡ نَا عَلَیْهِمُ
عَ لَىْ هِ مُرّ الرِّیْحَ
رِىْ حَلْ الْعَقِیْمَ
عَ قِىْٓ مْ
˹Later,˺ Abraham asked, “What is your mission, O messengers?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
— Saheeh International
They replied, “We have actually been sent to a wicked people,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals1
— Saheeh International
to send upon them stones of ˹baked˺ clay,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
To send down upon them stones of clay,
— Saheeh International
marked by your Lord for the transgressors.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."
— Saheeh International
Then ˹before the torment˺ We evacuated the believers from the city.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So We brought out whoever was in them [i.e., the cities] of the believers.
— Saheeh International
But We only found one family that had submitted ˹to Allah˺.1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.1
— Saheeh International
And We have left a sign there1 ˹as a lesson˺ for those who fear the painful punishment.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
— Saheeh International
And in ˹the story of˺ Moses ˹was another lesson,˺ when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proof,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.1
— Saheeh International
but Pharaoh was carried away by his power, saying ˹of Moses˺, “A magician or a madman!”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
But he turned away with his supporters and said, "A magician or a madman."
— Saheeh International
So We seized him and his soldiers, casting them into the sea while he was blameworthy.1

So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.
— Saheeh International
And in ˹the story of˺ ’Âd ˹was another lesson,˺ when We sent against them the devastating wind.1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And in ʿAad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.1
— Saheeh International
