اِنْ ىّ یَّدْعُوْنَ
يَدْ عُوْ نَ مِنْ
مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ
دُوْ نِ هِىْٓ اِلَّاۤ
اِلّ لَٓا اِنٰثًا ۚ
اِنَا ثَا وَ اِنْ
وَاِنۡ ىّ یَّدْعُوْنَ
يَدْ عُوْ نَ اِلَّا
اِلّ لَا شَیْطٰنًا
شَىْ طَا نَمّ مَّرِیْدًا
مَ رِىْ دَا
لَ عَ نَ هُلّ اللّٰهُ ۘ
لَٓا هْ وَ قَالَ
وَقَالَ لَاَتَّخِذَنَّ
لَ اَتّ تَ خِ ذَنّ نَ مِنْ
مِنۡ عِبَادِكَ
عِ بَادِكَ نَصِیْبًا
نَ صِىْ بَمّ مَّفْرُوْضًا
مَفْ رُوْ ضَا
وَ لَ اُ ضِلّ لَنّ نَ هُمْ وَ لَاُمَنِّیَنَّهُمْ
وَ لَ اُ مَنّ نِ يَنّ نَ هُمْ وَ لَاٰمُرَنَّهُمْ
وَ لَ آ مُ رَنّ نَ هُمْ فَلَیُبَتِّكُنَّ
فَ لَ ىُ بَتّ تِ كُنّ نَ اٰذَانَ
آ ذَانَلْ الْاَنْعَامِ
اَنْ عَا مِ وَ لَاٰمُرَنَّهُمْ
وَ لَ آ مُ رَنّ نَ هُمْ فَلَیُغَیِّرُنَّ
فَ لَ ىُ غَىّ ىِ رُنّ نَ خَلْقَ
خَلْ قَلّ اللّٰهِ ؕ
لَٓا هْ وَ مَنْ
وَ مَنْ ىّ یَّتَّخِذِ
يَتّ تَ خِ ذِشّ الشَّیْطٰنَ
شَىْ طَا نَ وَلِیًّا
وَ لِىّ يَمّ مِّنْ
مِنْ دُوْنِ
دُوْ نِلّ اللّٰهِ
لَا هِ فَقَدْ
فَ قَدْ خَسِرَ
خَ سِ رَ خُسْرَانًا
خُسْ رَا نَمّ مُّبِیْنًا
مُ بِىْ نَا
ىَ عِ دُ هُمْ وَ یُمَنِّیْهِمْ ؕ
وَ ىُ مَنّ نِىْ هِمْ وَ مَا
وَمَا یَعِدُهُمُ
ىَ عِ دُ هُ مُشّ الشَّیْطٰنُ
شَىْ طَا نُ اِلَّا
اِلّ لَا غُرُوْرًا
غُ رُوْ رَا
Instead of Allah, they only invoke female gods1 and they ˹actually˺ invoke none but a rebellious Satan—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They call upon instead of Him none but female [deities], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan,
— Saheeh International
cursed by Allah—who said, “I will surely take hold of a certain number of Your servants.

Whom Allah has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion.
— Saheeh International
I will certainly mislead them and delude them with empty hopes. Also, I will order them and they will slit the ears of cattle1 and alter Allah’s creation.” And whoever takes Satan as a guardian instead of Allah has certainly suffered a tremendous loss.

And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.

Satan only makes them ˹false˺ promises and deludes them with ˹empty˺ hopes. Truly Satan promises them nothing but delusion.

He [i.e., Satan] promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
