وَ مَا كُنْتَ
كُنْ تَ تَتْلُوْا
تَتْ لُوْ مِنْ
مِنْ قَبْلِهٖ
قَبْ لِ هِىْ مِنْ
مِنْ كِتٰبٍ
كِ تَا بِنْ وّ وَّ لَا
وَ لَا تَخُطُّهٗ
تَ خُطّ طُ هُوْ بِیَمِیْنِكَ
بِ ىَ مِىْ نِ كَ اِذًا
اِذَلّ لَّارْتَابَ
لَرْ تَا بَلْ الْمُبْطِلُوْنَ
مُبْ طِ لُوْٓ نْ
You ˹O Prophet˺ could not read any writing ˹even˺ before this ˹revelation˺, nor could you write at all. Otherwise, the people of falsehood would have been suspicious.
