وَلّ لَ ذِىْ نَ یَرْمُوْنَ
يَرْ مُوْ نَ اَزْوَاجَهُمْ
اَزْ وَا جَ هُمْ وَ لَمْ
وَ لَمْ یَكُنْ
ىَ كُلّ لَّهُمْ
لَ هُمْ شُهَدَآءُ
شُ هَ دَآ ءُ اِلَّاۤ
اِلّ لَٓا اَنْفُسُهُمْ
اَنْ فُ سُ هُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ
فَ شَ هَا دَ ةُ اَحَدِهِمْ
اَحَ دِ هِمْ اَرْبَعُ
اَرْ بَ عُ شَهٰدٰتٍۭ
شَ هَا دَا تِمْ بِاللّٰهِ ۙ
بِلّ لَا هِ اِنَّهٗ
اِنّ نَ هُوْ لَمِنَ
لَ مِ نَصّ الصّٰدِقِیْنَ
صَا دِ قِىْٓ نْ
And those who accuse their wives ˹of adultery˺ but have no witness except themselves, the accuser must testify,1 swearing four times by Allah that he is telling the truth,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And those who accuse their wives [of adultery] and have no witnesses except themselves - then the witness of one of them1 [shall be] four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the truthful.
