وَ اَمّ مَلْ الْجِدَارُ
جِ دَا رُ فَكَانَ
فَ كَا نَ لِغُلٰمَیْنِ
لِ غُ لَا مَىْ نِ یَتِیْمَیْنِ
ىَ تِىْ مَىْ نِ فِی
فِلْ الْمَدِیْنَةِ
مَ دِىْ نَ ةِ وَ كَانَ
وَ كَا نَ تَحْتَهٗ
تَحْ تَ هُوْ كَنْزٌ
كَنْ زُلّ لَّهُمَا
لَ هُ مَا وَ كَانَ
وَ كَا نَ اَبُوْهُمَا
اَبُوْ هُ مَا صَالِحًا ۚ
صَا لِ حَا فَاَرَادَ
فَ اَ رَادَ رَبُّكَ
رَبّ بُ كَ اَنْ
اَنۡ ىّ یَّبْلُغَاۤ
يَبْ لُ غَآ اَشُدَّهُمَا
اَشُدّ دَ هُ مَا وَ یَسْتَخْرِجَا
وَ يَسْ تَخْ رِ جَا كَنْزَهُمَا ۖۗ
كَنْ زَ هُ مَا رَحْمَةً
رَحْ مَ تَمّ مِّنْ
مِرّ رَّبِّكَ ۚ
رَبّ بِكْ وَ مَا
وَمَا فَعَلْتُهٗ
فَ عَلْ تُ هُوْ عَنْ
عَنۡ اَمْرِیْ ؕ
اَمۡ رِىۡ ذٰلِكَ
ذَا لِ كَ تَاْوِیْلُ
تَاْ وِىْ لُ مَا
مَا لَمْ
لَمۡ تَسْطِعْ
تَسْ طِعّ عَّلَیْهِ
عَ لَىْ هِ صَبْرًاؕ
صَبْ رَا
“And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and under the wall was a treasure that belonged to them, and their father had been a righteous man. So your Lord willed that these children should come of age and retrieve their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. I did not do it ˹all˺ on my own. This is the explanation of what you could not bear patiently.”1

And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure for them, and their father had been righteous. So your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. And I did it not of my own accord. That is the interpretation of that about which you could not have patience."
