فَ سَ جَ دَلْ الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ
مَ لَٓا ءِ كَ ةُ كُلُّهُمْ
كُلّ لُ هُمْ اَجْمَعُوْنَ
اَجْ مَ عُوْٓ نْ
اِلّ لَٓا اِبْلِیْسَ ؕ
اِبْ لِىْٓ سْ اَبٰۤی
اَ بَآ اَنْ
اَنْ ىّ یَّكُوْنَ
ىَ كُوْ نَ مَعَ
مَ عَسّ السّٰجِدِیْنَ
سَا جِ دِىْٓ نْ
قَا لَ یٰۤاِبْلِیْسُ
يَآ اِبّ لِىْ سُ مَا
مَا لَكَ
لَ كَ اَلَّا
اَلّ لَا تَكُوْنَ
تَ كُوْ نَ مَعَ
مَ عَسّ السّٰجِدِیْنَ
سَا جِ دِىْٓ نْ
قَا لَ لَمْ
لَمْ اَكُنْ
اَ كُلّ لِّاَسْجُدَ
لِ اَسْ جُ دَ لِبَشَرٍ
لِ بَ شَ رِنْ خَلَقْتَهٗ
خَ لَقْ تَ هُوْ مِنْ
مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ
صَلْ صَا لِمّ مِّنْ
مِنْ حَمَاٍ
حَ مَ اِمّ مَّسْنُوْنٍ
مَسْ نُوْٓ نْ
قَا لَ فَاخْرُجْ
فَخْ رُجْ مِنْهَا
مِنْ هَا فَاِنَّكَ
فَ اِنّ نَ كَ رَجِیْمٌ
رَجِىْٓ مْ
وَاِنّ نَ عَلَیْكَ
عَ لَىْ كَلّ اللَّعْنَةَ
لَعْ نَ ةَ اِلٰی
اِلَا یَوْمِ
يَوْ مِدّ الدِّیْنِ
دِىْٓ نْ
قَا لَ رَبِّ
رَبّ بِ فَاَنْظِرْنِیْۤ
فَ اَنْ ظِرْ نِىْٓ اِلٰی
اِلَا یَوْمِ
يَوْ مَ یُبْعَثُوْنَ
يُبْ عَ ثُوْٓ نْ
قَا لَ فَاِنَّكَ
فَ اِنّ نَ كَ مِنَ
مِ نَلْ الْمُنْظَرِیْنَ
مُنْ ظَ رِىْٓ نْ
اِلَا یَوْمِ
يَوْ مِلْ الْوَقْتِ
وَقْ تِلْ الْمَعْلُوْمِ
مَعْ لُوْٓ مْ
قَا لَ رَبِّ
رَبّ بِ بِمَاۤ
بِ مَآ اَغْوَیْتَنِیْ
اَخْ وَىْ تَ نِىْ لَاُزَیِّنَنَّ
لَ اُ زَىّ ىِ نَنّ نَ لَهُمْ
لَ هُمْ فِی
فِلْ الْاَرْضِ
اَرْ ضِ وَ لَاُغْوِیَنَّهُمْ
وَ لَ اُغْ وِيَنّ نَ هُمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَ
اَجْ مَ عِىْٓ نْ
اِلّ لَا عِبَادَكَ
عِ بَا دَ كَ مِنْهُمُ
مِنْ هُ مُلْ الْمُخْلَصِیْنَ
مُخْ لَ صِىْٓ نْ
So the angels prostrated all together—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely,
— Saheeh International
but not Iblîs,1 who refused to prostrate with the others.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Except Iblees;1 he refused to be with those who prostrated.
— Saheeh International
Allah asked, “O Iblîs! What is the matter with you that you did not join others in prostration?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?"
— Saheeh International
He replied, “It is not for me to prostrate to a human You created from sounding clay moulded from black mud.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."
— Saheeh International
Allah commanded, “Then get out of Paradise, for you are truly cursed.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Allah] said, "Then depart from it,1 for indeed, you are expelled.
— Saheeh International
And surely upon you is condemnation until the Day of Judgment.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense."
— Saheeh International
Satan appealed, “My Lord! Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."
— Saheeh International
Allah said, “You will be delayed
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved
— Saheeh International
until the appointed Day.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Until the Day of the time well-known."
— Saheeh International
Satan responded, “My Lord! For allowing me to stray I will surely tempt them on earth and mislead them all together,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them [i.e., mankind] on earth, and I will mislead them all
— Saheeh International
except Your chosen servants among them.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Except, among them, Your chosen servants."
— Saheeh International
