And among us are those who have submitted ˹to Allah˺ and those who are deviant. So ˹as for˺ those who submitted, it is they who have attained Right Guidance.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust.1 And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course.
— Saheeh International
And as for the deviant, they will be fuel for Hell.’”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
— Saheeh International
Had the deniers followed the Right Way, We would have certainly granted them abundant rain to drink—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant rain [i.e., provision].
— Saheeh International
as a test for them.1 And whoever turns away from the remembrance of their Lord will be admitted by Him into an overwhelming punishment.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord1 He will put into arduous punishment.
— Saheeh International
The places of worship are ˹only˺ for Allah, so do not invoke anyone besides Him.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And [He revealed] that the masjids1 are for Allah, so do not invoke2 with Allah anyone.
— Saheeh International
Yet when the servant of Allah1 stood up calling upon Him ˹alone˺, the pagans almost swarmed over him.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And that when the Servant [i.e., Prophet] of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass."1
— Saheeh International
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I call only upon my Lord, associating none with Him ˹in worship˺.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone."
— Saheeh International
Say, “It is not in my power to harm or benefit you.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction."
— Saheeh International
Say, “No one can protect me from Allah ˹if I were to disobey Him˺, nor can I find any refuge other than Him.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge.
— Saheeh International
˹My duty is˺ only to convey ˹the truth˺ from Allah and ˹deliver˺ His messages.” And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger will certainly be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there for ever and ever.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
But [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.
— Saheeh International
Only when they see what they have been threatened with will they know who is weaker in helpers and inferior in manpower.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number.
— Saheeh International
Say, “I do not know if what you are promised is near or my Lord has set a distant time for it.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."
— Saheeh International
˹He is the˺ Knower of the unseen, disclosing none of it to anyone,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone
— Saheeh International
except messengers of His choice. Then He appoints angel-guards before and behind them
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before him [i.e., each messenger] and behind him observers1
— Saheeh International
to ensure that the messengers fully deliver the messages of their Lord—though He ˹already˺ knows all about them, and keeps account of everything.”

That he [i.e., Muḥammad (ﷺ)] may know1 that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.
— Saheeh International
