اِذَشّ الشَّمْسُ
شَمْ سُ كُوِّرَتْ۪
كُوّ وِرَتْ
وَ اِذَنّ النُّجُوْمُ
نُ جُوْ مُنْ انْكَدَرَتْ۪
كَ دَ رَتْ
وَ اِذَلْ الْجِبَالُ
جِ بَا لُ سُیِّرَتْ۪
سُىّ ىِ رَتْ
وَ اِذَلْ الْعِشَارُ
عِ شَا رُ عُطِّلَتْ۪
عُطّ طِ لَتْ
وَ اِذَلْ الْوُحُوْشُ
وُ حُوْ شُ حُشِرَتْ۪
حُ شِ رَتْ
وَاِذَلْ الْبِحَارُ
بِ حَا رُ سُجِّرَتْ۪
سُجّ جِ رَتْ
When the sun is put out,

When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
— Saheeh International
and when the stars fall down,

And when the stars fall, dispersing,
— Saheeh International
and when the mountains are blown away,

And when the mountains are removed
— Saheeh International
and when pregnant camels are left untended,1

And when full-term she-camels1 are neglected
— Saheeh International
and when wild beasts are gathered together,1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And when the wild beasts are gathered
— Saheeh International
and when the seas are set on fire,1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And when the seas are filled with flame1
— Saheeh International
