وَ لَوْ اَنَّ
اَنّ نَ اَهْلَ
اَهْ لَلْ الْقُرٰۤی
قُ رَآ اٰمَنُوْا
آ مَ نُوْ وَ اتَّقَوْا
وتّ تَ قَوْ لَفَتَحْنَا
لَ فَ تَحْ نَا عَلَیْهِمْ
عَ لَىْ هِمْ بَرَكٰتٍ
بَ رَ كَا تِمّ مِّنَ
مِ نَسّ السَّمَآءِ
سَ مَآ ءِ وَ الْاَرْضِ
وَلْ اَرْ ضِ وَ لٰكِنْ
وَ لَا كِنْ كَذَّبُوْا
كَذّ ذَ بُوْ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ
فَ اَخَذْ نَا هُمْ بِمَا
بِ مَا كَانُوْا
كَا نُوْ یَكْسِبُوْنَ
يَكْ سِ بُوْٓ نْ
Had the people of those societies been faithful and mindful ˹of Allah˺, We would have overwhelmed them with blessings from heaven and earth. But they disbelieved, so We seized them for what they used to commit.

And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened [i.e., bestowed] upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning.1
