فَ مَلّ لَّمْ
لَمْ یَجِدْ
ىَ جِدْ فَصِیَامُ
فَ صِ يَا مُ شَهْرَیْنِ
شَهْ رَىْ نِ مُتَتَابِعَیْنِ
مُ تَ تَا بِ عَىْ نِ مِنْ
مِنْ قَبْلِ
قَبْ لِ اَنْ
اَنْ ىّ یَّتَمَآسَّا ۚ
ىَ تَ مَآ سّ سَا فَمَنْ
فَ مَلّ لَّمْ
لَمْ یَسْتَطِعْ
يَسْ تَ طِعْ فَاِطْعَامُ
فَ اِطْ عَا مُ سِتِّیْنَ
سِتّ تِىْ نَ مِسْكِیْنًا ؕ
مِسْ كِىْ نَا ذٰلِكَ
ذَا لِ كَ لِتُؤْمِنُوْا
لِ تُ ءْ مِ نُوْ بِاللّٰهِ
بِلّ لَا هِ وَ رَسُوْلِهٖ ؕ
وَ رَ سُوْ لِهْ وَ تِلْكَ
وَ تِلْ كَ حُدُوْدُ
حُ دُوْ دُلّ اللّٰهِ ؕ
لَٓا هْ وَ لِلْكٰفِرِیْنَ
وَ لِلْ كَا فِ رِىْ نَ عَذَابٌ
عَ ذَ ا بُنْ اَلِیْمٌ
اَ لِىْٓ مْ
But if the husband cannot afford this, let him then fast two consecutive months before the couple touch each other. But if he is unable ˹to fast˺, then let him feed sixty poor people. This is to re-affirm your faith in Allah and His Messenger. These are the limits set by Allah. And the disbelievers will suffer a painful punishment.

And he who does not find [a slave] - then a fast for two months consecutively1 before they touch one another; and he who is unable - then the feeding of sixty poor persons. That is for you to believe [completely] in Allah and His Messenger; and those are the limits [set by] Allah. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.
