لَٓا اِلٰهَ
اِلَا هَ اِلَّا
اِلّ لَا هُوَ
هُ وَ یُحْیٖ
يُحْ يِىْ وَ یُمِیْتُ ؕ
وَ ىُ مِىْٓ تْ رَبُّكُمْ
رَبّ بُ كُمْ وَ رَبُّ
وَ رَبّ بُ اٰبَآىِٕكُمُ
آ بَآ ءِ كُ مُلْ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ
اَوّ وَ لِىْٓ نْ
بَلْ هُمْ
هُمْ فِیْ
فِىْ شَكٍّ
شَكّ كِنْ ىّ یَّلْعَبُوْنَ
يَلْ عَ بُوْٓ نْ
فَرْ تَ قِبْ یَوْمَ
يَوْ مَ تَاْتِی
تَاْ تِسّ السَّمَآءُ
سَ مَآ ءُ بِدُخَانٍ
بِ دُ خَا نِمّ مُّبِیْنٍ
مُ بِىْٓ نْ
يَغْ شَنّ نَآ سْ النَّاسَ ؕ
هَا ذَا هٰذَا
هَا ذَا عَذَابٌ
عَ ذَا بُنْ اَلِیْمٌ
اَلِىْٓ مْ
ربَّ بَ نَكْ اكْشِفْ
شِفْ عَنَّا
عَنّ نَلْ الْعَذَابَ
عَ ذَا بَ اِنَّا
اِنّ نَا مُؤْمِنُوْنَ
مُ ءْ مِ نُوْٓ نْ
اَنّ نَا لَهُمُ
لَ هُ مُذّ الذِّكْرٰی
ذِكْ رَا وَ قَدْ
وَ قَدْ جَآءَهُمْ
جَآ ءَ هُمْ رَسُوْلٌ
رَ سُوْ لُمّ مُّبِیْنٌ
مُ بِىْٓ نْ
ثُمّ مَ تَوَلَّوْا
تَ وَلّ لَوْ عَنْهُ
عَنْ هُ وَ قَالُوْا
وَقَا لُوْ مُعَلَّمٌ
مُ عَلّ لَ مُمّ مَّجْنُوْنٌ
مَجْ نُوْٓ نْ
اِنّ نَا كَاشِفُوا
كَا شِ فُلْ الْعَذَابِ
عَ ذَا بِ قَلِیْلًا
قَ لِىْ لَنْ اِنَّكُمْ
اِنّ نَ كُمْ عَآىِٕدُوْنَ
عَآ ءِ دُوْٓ نْ
يَوْ مَ نَبْطِشُ
نَبْ طِ شُلْ الْبَطْشَةَ
بَطْ شَ تَلْ الْكُبْرٰی ۚ
كُبْ رَا اِنَّا
اِنّ نَا مُنْتَقِمُوْنَ
مُنْ تَ قِ مُوْٓ نْ
وَ لَ قَدْ فَتَنَّا
فَ تَنّ نَا قَبْلَهُمْ
قَبْ لَ هُمْ قَوْمَ
قَوْ مَ فِرْعَوْنَ
فِرْ عَوْ نَ وَ جَآءَهُمْ
وَجَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوْلٌ
رَ سُوْ لُنْ كَرِیْمٌ
كَ رِىْٓ مْ
اَنْ اَدُّوْۤا
اَدّ دُوْٓ اِلَیَّ
اِلَىّ ىَ عِبَادَ
عِ بَا دَلّ اللّٰهِ ؕ
لَٓا هْ اِنِّیْ
اِنّ نِىْ لَكُمْ
لَ كُمْ رَسُوْلٌ
رَ سُوْ لُنْ اَمِیْنٌ
اَمِىْٓ نْ
There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He ˹alone˺ gives life and causes death. ˹He is˺ your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers.

There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.

In fact, they are in doubt, amusing themselves.

But they are in doubt, amusing themselves.
— Saheeh International
Wait then ˹O Prophet˺ for the day ˹when˺ the sky will be veiled in haze,1 clearly visible,

Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke
— Saheeh International
overwhelming the people. ˹They will cry,˺ “This is a painful torment.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Covering the people; this is a painful torment.
— Saheeh International
Our Lord! Remove ˹this˺ torment from us, ˹and˺ we will certainly believe.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers."
— Saheeh International
How can they be reminded when a messenger has already come to them, making things clear,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger.
— Saheeh International
then they turned away from him, saying, “A madman, taught by others!”?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."
— Saheeh International
Indeed, We will remove ˹that˺ torment for a while, and you ˹Meccans˺ will return ˹to disbelief˺.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief].
— Saheeh International
˹Then˺ on the Day We will deal ˹you˺ the fiercest blow, We will surely inflict punishment.

The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution.
— Saheeh International
Indeed, before them We tested Pharaoh’s people: a noble messenger came to them,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger [i.e., Moses],
— Saheeh International
˹proclaiming,˺ “Hand over the servants of Allah to me.1 I am truly a trustworthy messenger to you.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah.1 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger,"
