﷽
وَ لَنُذِیْقَنَّهُمْ
وَ لَ نُ ذِىْ قَنّ نَ هُمّ مِّنَ
مِ نَلْ الْعَذَابِ
عَ ذَا بِلْ الْاَدْنٰی
اَدْ نَا دُوْنَ
دُوْ نَلْ الْعَذَابِ
عَ ذَا بِلْ الْاَكْبَرِ
اَكْ بَ رِ لَعَلَّهُمْ
لَ عَلّ لَ هُمْ یَرْجِعُوْنَ
يَرْ جِ عُوْٓ نْ
وَ لَ نُ ذِىْ قَنّ نَ هُمّ مِّنَ
مِ نَلْ الْعَذَابِ
عَ ذَا بِلْ الْاَدْنٰی
اَدْ نَا دُوْنَ
دُوْ نَلْ الْعَذَابِ
عَ ذَا بِلْ الْاَكْبَرِ
اَكْ بَ رِ لَعَلَّهُمْ
لَ عَلّ لَ هُمْ یَرْجِعُوْنَ
يَرْ جِ عُوْٓ نْ

ﭚ
We will certainly make them taste some of the minor torment ˹in this life˺ before the major torment ˹of the Hereafter˺, so perhaps they will return ˹to the Right Path˺.

And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment1 short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent].
