وَ يَسْ تَعْ جِ لُوْ نَ كَ بِالْعَذَابِ ؕ
بِلْ عَ ذَ آ بْ وَ لَوْ لَاۤ
وَ لَوْ لَٓا اَجَلٌ
اَ جَ لُمّ مُّسَمًّی
مُ سَمّ مَلّ لَّجَآءَهُمُ
لَ جَآ ءَ هُ مُلْ الْعَذَابُ ؕ
عَ ذَآ بْ وَ لَیَاْتِیَنَّهُمْ
وَ لَ يَاْ تِ يَنّ نَ هُمْ بَغْتَةً
بَغْ تَ تَنْ وّ وَّ هُمْ
وَ هُمْ لَا
لَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ
يَشْ عُ رُوْٓ نْ
They challenge you ˹O Prophet˺ to hasten the punishment. Had it not been for a time already set, the punishment would have certainly come to them ˹at once˺. But it will definitely take them by surprise when they least expect it.

And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.
