وَ لَ قَدْ كَذَّبَ
كَذّ ذَ بَ اَصْحٰبُ
اَصْ حَا بُلْ الْحِجْرِ
جِجْ رِلْ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ
مُرْ سَ لِىْٓ نْ
وَ آ تَىْ نَا هُمْ اٰیٰتِنَا
آ يَا تِ نَا فَكَانُوْا
فَ كَا نُوْ عَنْهَا
عَنْ هَا مُعْرِضِیْنَ
مُعْ رِ ضِىْٓ نْ
وَكَا نُوْ یَنْحِتُوْنَ
يَنْ حِ تُوْ نَ مِنَ
مِ نَلْ الْجِبَالِ
جِ بَا لِ بُیُوْتًا
بُ يُوْ تَنْ اٰمِنِیْنَ
آ مِ نِىْٓ نْ
فَ اَ خَ ذَتْ هُ مُصّ الصَّیْحَةُ
صَىْ حَ ةُ مُصْبِحِیْنَ
مُصْ بِ حِىْٓ نْ
فَ مَآ اَغْنٰی
اَغْ نَا عَنْهُمْ
عَنْ هُمّ مَّا
مَا كَانُوْا
كَا نُوْ یَكْسِبُوْنَ
يَكْ سِ بُوْٓ نْ
وَ مَا خَلَقْنَا
خَ لَقْ نَسّ السَّمٰوٰتِ
سَ مَا وَا تِ وَ الْاَرْضَ
وَلْ اَرْ ضَ وَ مَا
وَ مَا بَیْنَهُمَاۤ
بَىْ نَ هُ مَآ اِلَّا
اِلّ لَا بِالْحَقِّ ؕ
بِلْ حَقّ قْ وَ اِنَّ
وَ اِنّ نَسّ السَّاعَةَ
سَا عَ ةَ لَاٰتِیَةٌ
لَ آ تِ ىَ تُنْ فَاصْفَحِ
فَصْ فَ حِصّ الصَّفْحَ
صَفْ حَلْ الْجَمِیْلَ
جَ مِىْٓ لْ
اِنّ نَ رَبَّكَ
رَبّ بَ كَ هُوَ
هُ وَلْ الْخَلّٰقُ
خَلّ لَا قُلْ الْعَلِیْمُ
عَ لِىْٓ مْ
وَ لَ قَدْ اٰتَیْنٰكَ
آ تَىْ نَا كَ سَبْعًا
سَبْ عَمّ مِّنَ
مِ نَلْ الْمَثَانِیْ
مَ ثَا نِىْ وَ الْقُرْاٰنَ
وَلْ قُرْ آ نَلْ الْعَظِیْمَ
عَ ظِىْٓ مْ
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ
تَ مُدّ دَنّ نَ عَیْنَیْكَ
عَىْ نَىْ كَ اِلٰی
اِلَا مَا
مَا مَتَّعْنَا
مَتّ تَعْ نَا بِهٖۤ
بِ هِىْٓ اَزْوَاجًا
اَزْ وَاجَمّ مِّنْهُمْ
مِنْ هُمْ وَ لَا
وَ لَا تَحْزَنْ
تَحْ زَنْ عَلَیْهِمْ
عَ لَىْ هِمْ وَ اخْفِضْ
وَخْ فِضْ جَنَاحَكَ
جَ نَا حَ كَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ
لِلْ مُ ءْ مِ نِىْٓ نْ
وَ قُلْ اِنِّیْۤ
اِنّ نِىْٓ اَنَا
اَنَنّ النَّذِیْرُ
نَ ذِىْ رُلْ الْمُبِیْنُ
مُ بِىْٓ نْ
كَ مَآ اَنْزَلْنَا
اَنْ زَ لُ نَا عَلَی
عَ لَلْ الْمُقْتَسِمِیْنَ
مُقْ تَ سِ مِىْٓ نْ
Indeed, the residents of the Stone Valley also denied the messengers.1

And certainly did the companions of al-Ḥijr1 [i.e., the Thamūd] deny the messengers.
— Saheeh International
We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away.
— Saheeh International
They carved their homes in the mountains, feeling secure.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.
— Saheeh International
But the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook them in the morning,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
But the shriek seized them at early morning,
— Saheeh International
and all they achieved was of no help to them.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.
— Saheeh International
We have not created the heavens and the earth and everything in between except for a purpose. And the Hour is certain to come, so forgive graciously.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness.
— Saheeh International
Surely your Lord is the Master Creator, All-Knowing.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator.
— Saheeh International
We have certainly granted you the seven often-repeated verses1 and the great Quran.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And We have certainly given you, [O Muḥammad], seven of the often repeated [verses]1 and the great Qur’ān.
— Saheeh International
Do not let your eyes crave the ˹fleeting˺ pleasures We have provided for some of the disbelievers, nor grieve for them. And be gracious to the believers.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of them [i.e., the disbelievers], and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing [i.e., show kindness] to the believers.
— Saheeh International
And say, “I am truly sent with a clear warning”—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" -
— Saheeh International
˹a warning˺ similar to what We sent to those who divided ˹the Scriptures˺,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators1
— Saheeh International
