Moreover, they will surely burn in Hell,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
— Saheeh International
and then be told, “This is what you used to deny.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
— Saheeh International
But no! The virtuous are certainly bound for ’Illiyûn1 ˹in elevated Gardens˺—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in ʿilliyyūn.
— Saheeh International
and what will make you realize what ’Illiyûn is?—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And what can make you know what is ʿilliyyūn?
— Saheeh International
a fate ˹already˺ sealed,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
It is [their destination1 recorded in] a register inscribed
— Saheeh International
witnessed by those nearest ˹to Allah˺.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
— Saheeh International
Surely the virtuous will be in bliss,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
— Saheeh International
˹seated˺ on ˹canopied˺ couches, gazing around.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
On adorned couches, observing.
— Saheeh International
You will recognize on their faces the glow of delight.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
— Saheeh International
They will be given a drink of sealed, pure wine,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They will be given to drink [pure] wine1 [which was] sealed.
— Saheeh International
whose last sip will smell like musk. So let whoever aspires to this strive ˹diligently˺.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
The last of it1 is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
